Frequently asked questions.
I’m not flexible. Can I practice yoga?
Yes, you can! When I say that yoga is for everybody, it really means that it’s for everyBODY. There is no ‘ideal’ body type for yoga, and being flexible is not a requirement—it’s something you gain from consistent practice.
I'm new to yoga. Which classes are suitable for me?
I recommend starting out with the TYB Foundation class as it offers a good introduction to the fundamentals of yoga. Once you become more familiarised with the core poses and alignment, you can move on to either the Let Go Flow or the Mobility & Movement classes.
What do I need to prepare for an online class?
You’ll need to pick a spot that gives you space to do a range of movements, a yoga mat and a towel. Some classes might require a block or a yoga strap/belt, so check the individual class description for more information.
What do I need to wear for a yoga class?
Wear something comfortable that won’t restrict your movement. As yoga involves a lot of poses and movements, wear something that will stay put so you won’t be constantly adjusting your clothes as this can be distracting and take you out of the “zone”.
I’m pregnant, can I still go for a yoga class?
Yes, you can. Yoga can help you increase your strength, flexibility and endurance for childbirth. There are even prenatal yoga classes that are designed specifically for expectant moms. But before you sign up for any class, it’s best to consult your doctor first.
Am I too young/old for yoga?
Yoga is for everyone, young and old. But if you have any specific conditions, injuries or physical limitations, let us know beforehand so we can show you modifications for yoga poses.
